The world wide web is so full off great things that will never end up in our portfolio, but which we want the world to see. For this we created our blog. At this moment there 4 of us blogging on a regular basis.Work, studies and social life makes that there are weeks with a lot of posts, and weeks without. ‘Going west’ is a stop-motion film produced by¬†colenso BBDO and animated by¬†andersen m studio.¬†It was created for the¬†new zealand book council, a non-profit organization that promotes¬†writers and artists from the country.
Nazroo, a mahout elephant driver, poses for a portrait while taking his elephant, Rajan, out for a swim in front of Radha Nagar Beach in Havelock, Andaman Islands. Rajan is one of the few elephants in Havelock that can swim, so when he is not dragging timber in the forest he is used as a tourist attraction. I found this artist at Abduzeedo, the colors immediately had my attention. At first sight there not this much details in the paintings. But of you look closer and longer you will see it is not just some paint on canvas. Leonid Afremov is a Belarusian painter who was born in Vitebsk, in 1955. He was born in the same town as Marc Chagall, the famous artist who also founded the Vitebsk Art School with Malevich and Kandinsky. Afremov finished the Vitebsk Art School in 1978 and is oen of the elite members. He mostly paints landscapes, cityscapes and figures. Read on for a lot more work of Leonid Afremov.
The 26th of november the¬†design real exhibition curated by¬†konstantin grcic at the¬†serpentine gallery opened.¬†43 objects have been curated, all of which are ‘real’ mass produced items which have a¬†practical function in everyday life. the items have been categorized generically,¬†with no additional contextual information, as to encourage a more unmediated encounter¬†between the product and its audience.
Albert Exergian is a graphic designer/art director who is mostly known by creating some minimal posters for popular tv shows. Using very basic colors and shapes, he creates nice and geometric posters.

Rotterdam, today. The mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb and city councilor Hamit Karakus have officially started the construction of the new Rotterdam Market Hall. The arched building located in the centre of Rotterdam, developed by Provast and designed by MVRDV is a hybrid of public market and apartment building. Completion is set for 2014. I ran across this studio, they have some interesting projects. The essence of the creative studio Cabracega relies on the daily experiences. From the everyday analysis new ideas rise that question and add a different meaning to spaces, services, rituals and objects, thus creating innovative experiences that transform observers into participants.

The first Tim Burton¬†movie I saw was “The Nightmare before Christmas” 1993, I was 8 years old that time, and as the title says, it got me nightmares. And not only once, I think I dreamed about Jack Skellington for years. Today, Tim Burton is back from never be gone. At the MoMA there is a complete retrospective of his work. The complete redesign of a clock, thats what I would call QlockTwo. It was made by Biegert & Funk, it has a 5 minute time interval, automatic light sensor for automatic adjustment to ambient light. And much more, thats right it also has a price tag: €900. Definitely not for this christmas, but who knows. Check the clocks website for more information.
