If it was up to us, all the best design in the world would be posted within the Parfois Portfolio. But it's not up to us. Stumbling the web we often bump into things worth sharing. The world wide web is so full off great things that will never end up in our portfolio, but which we want the world to see. For this we created our blog. At this moment there are 4 of us blogging on a regular basis. Work, studies and social life makes that there are weeks with a lot of posts, and weeks without. But we'll do our best in bringing you the nicest shit on a acceptable basis.

For years you can get things from vending machines. Soda is the most famous I believe, but what would you think about fruit-vending machines, candy-vending machines, vending machines with hamburgers and hot dogs… There all out there. But all of these vending machines get a new competitor, the one and only swimsuit-vending-machine. Quicksilver and The Standard Coca Cola and Co. are introducing the first Board short & Bikini Vending Machine. Right now you will only find them at the most exotic surf spots, but who knows, in a couple of years you can buy our brand new and fancy Quicksilver Board short or Bikini right there at your local train station.
If this is not the hottest vending machine on this planet? Which one is? Let us know in the comments. And read one for some more pictures.
Leo Villareal is one of the biggest light artists on this world. It is a pity this installation, located in the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, is no longer there. The west to east hallway was covered with 41 000 LED lights, resulting in a true spectacle. It starts slow and easy, but ends with a big bang! More information and work can be found on the artists website.
If you know a even better light artist, let us hear about it in the comments, and we will definitely write about it.
Eko light is a simple yet, highly practical concept for traffic lights that not only helps preserve the environment by reducing pollution but promotes safer driving as well. Eko can be easily installed onto existing traffic light systems without much effort while significantly improving overall traffic dynamics.
