About Parfois

If it was up to us, all the best design in the world would be posted within the Parfois Portfolio. But it's not up to us. Stumbling the web we often bump into things worth sharing. The world wide web is so full off great things that will never end up in our portfolio, but which we want the world to see. For this we created our blog. At this moment there are 4 of us blogging on a regular basis. Work, studies and social life makes that there are weeks with a lot of posts, and weeks without. But we'll do our best in bringing you the nicest shit on a acceptable basis.

CityCampCastricum

Hurry up, you fans of free camping! You ‘ve got one day to pack your tent and some stuff and reach Castricum, a small town near Amsterdam in the beach side, where you can camp free in the middle of the city. Amsterdam based DUS architects, known for their social approach to architecture, together with Artist Sabrina Lindemann and graphic agency DUEL experiment with the idea of transforming the city’s green into a camp site. Therefore you can set up your tent in the public green, parking lots, even in private gardens. DUS architects have commented againin the past to the relation between the public and the private domain with the project city eyes. Visit citycampcastricum.nl for more information, or the architects’ website where you can see some more of their projects. I especially love the crochet of ventilation tubes which forms a wedding chapel.
