Parfois.be is a¬†portfolio site for and by young designers from all sectors. It is a compilation of everything concerning “design”, from photography to product design, from interior design to sculpture. The site serves as inspiration and gives a fresh look on creativity.The blog is a continuation of this idea. Design is a broad term and can be found everywhere. This blog is a place for these daily discoveries and experiences.The people behind Parfois are: Jonas Blondeel, Pieterjan Grandry, Cas Lemmens and Jonas Smets.

About the portfoilo

Since some time the portfolio moved to a other¬†url, and the blog seams the main issue. There is a explanation for al this: behind the scene we are wasting blood sweat and tears to get the new portfolio website done. The layout is practically¬†finished, and in the little spare time he has during his freelance work and his studies at Hyper Island Cas¬†is writing the code.From the beginning we had the idea Parfois should become a portfolio website and platform for everyone who is doing something with “design”, the old portfolio was to compact and didn’t gave use the resources to manage all the projects people were sending us. This is going to change. In the new portfolio, people can upload and manage there projects by themselves. Upload the pictures, write a summary, choose the categories… The only thing we do is check if the project fits within the Parfois portfolio. We want it to be a portfolio for everyone, but with a certain¬†standard to the work. By the time the new website is finished this will get explained into detail.¬†The launch of the new portfolio is set on 01/01/2010, but dates can change, so don’t blame us when we were to optimistic.¬†For now you can see some of our work at the¬†old portfolio website. It hasn’t had update in a long time, but there is still some good stuff presented.

About the blog

If it was up to us, all the best design in the world would be posted within the Parfois Portfolio… But… its not up to us. Stumbling the web we often bump into things worth sharing.¬†The world wide web is so full off great things that will never end up in our portfolio, but which we want the world to see. For this we created our blog. At this moment there 4 of us blogging on a regular basis.Work, studies and social life makes that there are weeks with a lot of posts, and weeks without. But we’ll do our best in bringing you the nicest shit on a acceptable basis.
