About Parfois
If it was up to us, all the best design in the world would be posted within the Parfois Portfolio. But it's not up to us. Stumbling the web we often bump into things worth sharing. The world wide web is so full off great things that will never end up in our portfolio, but which we want the world to see. For this we created our blog. At this moment there are 4 of us blogging on a regular basis. Work, studies and social life makes that there are weeks with a lot of posts, and weeks without. But we'll do our best in bringing you the nicest shit on a acceptable basis.

Avant-garde designer Bernhard Willhelm has teamed up, rather unexpectedly, with contemporary spectacles maker Mykita. The result? One of the most wearable, high-fashion partnerships I’ve ever seen. Based in Berlin Mykita has been producing one-piece, stainless-steel glasses for six years. Inspired by the winter olympics, the men’s specs in the new range come in bold blues, golds and reds. In 2007 Luca Bassani of the luxury yacht brand Wally is in a meeting with Pierre-Alexis Dumas, scion of the Herm√©s dynasty and creative director of his family’s luxury goods brand. “I wan’t us to build the ultimate luxury boat, one as big as an island”, tells Bassani. I’m working on a huge blog post about The Wonderingboys, two dutch artists traveling the world, doing what they do best: invent crazy projects, make beautiful designs and live there dream. The whole story will be online at the end of the week, but I couldn’t wait presenting there latest project, The Traveling Moustache. It all started with the idea to blog a picture every day for 365 days, for one of these pictures they bought 2 fake mustaches, the comments on this picture where so nice they decided to buy some more mustaches and send them to other people around the world, if you receive a mustache, you take a picture and place it on The Traveling Moustache Flickr page. It is a crazy idea and i’m curious how the page will look in a couple of moths when the mustaches has traveled around the globe.

Pity it is just a concept, this 1965 Dodge Deora would still do fine on today’s marked. If one of ¬†the car building company’s would build this one today it would still be unique and futuristic. The one-off pickup truck won the Ridler Award at the 1967 Detroit Autorama and was immortalized a year later as one of the original 16 Hot Wheels model cars.¬†A shame dodge isn’t known for his environmental friendly cars…
