About Parfois
If it was up to us, all the best design in the world would be posted within the Parfois Portfolio. But it's not up to us. Stumbling the web we often bump into things worth sharing. The world wide web is so full off great things that will never end up in our portfolio, but which we want the world to see. For this we created our blog. At this moment there are 4 of us blogging on a regular basis. Work, studies and social life makes that there are weeks with a lot of posts, and weeks without. But we'll do our best in bringing you the nicest shit on a acceptable basis.

From our own Parfois team comes this new cupboard, Kastaar. The cupboard is designed and builded by Jonas Blondeel, studying Vomo (furniture design) he wanted to make something different. The cupboard looks like a wall, with hid drawers and doors. Its build out off detritus from a stone mill. More projects of Jonas Blondeel can be found in our portfolio. Read more for pictures and a movie.

With the Ear-chair you readily create a room in the space available, both visually and acoustically. Variations in upholstery and colour provide moreover the possibility of giving each ‘room’ its own character.

Books are an important thing in my life, and so are books cupboards. This peace of work from the Belgium designer Xavier Lust would look great here at my apartment. He designed the cupboard for Driade. Interested in his other work, visit his website.

This could have been a design from Grcic, but this table, completely made out of aluminium is from the young designer, Norayr Khachatrayan. The N7 is strongly inspired by the military. The complexity and structure, cornered shapes and details in volume are the result of a challenging construction off difficult folding technics. The young guy was born in Armenia, but since 1999 he lives and works in Belgium. This work is his first breakthrough, but he has already been part of a lot of other publications and exhibitions.
